QUICK ANSWERS

Short answers to common questions. The full Privacy Policy follows below.

What information do we collect, and what do we do with it?

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, business details, billing info), information collected automatically when you visit our site (IP address, browser type, pages viewed), and information from third-party platforms you authorize us to access (such as Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube for paid plan members).

We use this information to operate the directory, provide the services you’ve subscribed to, deliver paid plan work (Google Business Profile management, social media posting, citations, content publishing), communicate with you, and verify business legitimacy before approving listings. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, ever.

What about my Google Business Profile and social media accounts?

For Platinum, Diamond, and Authority Tier members, you authorize us to access your Google Business Profile via OAuth and to post on your behalf to social media accounts we connect (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). Our AI agents and software tools use this access only to deliver the services you’ve subscribed to. You can revoke access at any time through the relevant platform’s account settings. We don’t use this access for any purpose other than what you’ve subscribed to receive.

Do we share information with third parties?

We share information only with: (1) authorized service providers who help us operate the directory (such as Stripe for payment processing, our hosting and email providers); (2) third-party platforms you authorize us to access (like Google and social media); (3) law enforcement or legal authorities when required by subpoena or law; and (4) a successor company if our business is acquired or merged. We do not share with advertisers, ad networks, direct mail partners, or any party seeking to market to you on their own.

How can I access, correct, or delete my information?

Members can access and update most personal information directly through their account dashboard. To request access to all data we have, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and personal information, contact us at directory@stlouismissourinearme.com. We’ll respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe. Note that content you posted publicly on the Service or on third-party platforms (Google, social media) may persist on those platforms after deletion, as described in our Terms of Use.

1. INTRODUCTION

Popular Products Club, LLC dba St Louis Near Me Directory (“we,” “us,” “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect about visitors, free account holders, and paying members of our directory service (collectively, “you”); how we use it; how we share it; and the choices you have about it.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through our website at stlouismissourinearme.com, our affiliated properties, and any related services we provide (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

This Privacy Policy works alongside our Terms of Use and Refund Policy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties you authorize us to access.

Information you provide directly. When you create an account, sign up for a paid plan, contact us, or use features of the Service, we collect personal information you enter or upload, including:

  • Identifying information — your name, email address, phone number, business name, and physical or business address.
  • Account credentials — username and password (passwords are stored encrypted).
  • Profile content — logos, business descriptions, photos, videos, services, products, hours, and other information you publish to your business profile or upload to your account.
  • Billing information — for paid plans, your payment card details (collected and processed by our third-party payment processor; see Section 7).
  • Communications — messages you send through our contact forms, direct messaging features, or by email.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Service, we automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type and language, operating system, and device information.
  • Access times, pages viewed, referring website addresses, and links clicked.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).

Information from third-party platforms you authorize. For paid plan members on Platinum, Diamond, and Authority Tier plans, you may grant us access (typically through OAuth or similar authorization protocols) to your accounts on third-party platforms so we can deliver paid plan services. This includes:

  • Google Business Profile data (listing details, posts, reviews, Q&A, performance metrics).
  • Social media accounts you connect (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) — profile data, posting permissions, and engagement metrics.
  • Other approved web infrastructure platforms you authorize us to access for digital property creation and management.

We use this third-party access only to deliver the services you’ve subscribed to. We don’t use it for any other purpose.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Create and manage your account.
  • Deliver the services you’ve subscribed to, including business listing creation and optimization, Google Business Profile management, social media posting, citation building, content publishing, review management, and the establishment of digital properties on approved platforms.
  • Process payments and send billing-related communications.
  • Communicate with you about your account, the Service, transactions, support requests, and updates.
  • Send marketing and promotional emails (which you can opt out of at any time — see Section 14).
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Verify member legitimacy before approving business listings (see Section 4).
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • Conduct internal analytics to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

4. MEMBER VERIFICATION & SCREENING

Before we approve a business listing on St Louis Near Me Directory, we may review publicly available information about the applicant business — including the business’s website, Google Business Profile, online reviews, social media presence, and other public sources — to verify legitimacy and confirm the business meets our directory standards.

We do this to keep the directory clean, protect visitors and other members from fraudulent or low-quality listings, and maintain the trust our local community places in St Louis Near Me Directory. We do not perform credit checks, criminal background checks, or any other formal background screening — we simply review publicly available information about the business itself.

5. WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever. We share your information only with:

Authorized service providers. We share information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing (Stripe; see Section 7), website hosting, email delivery, customer support tools, analytics services, and other operational support. These providers have access only to the information needed to perform their work and are contractually obligated to use it solely for that purpose.

AI agents and software tools. We use proprietary and licensed AI agents and software tools to deliver paid plan services (see Section 6). These tools may access account, profile, and authorized third-party platform data to perform their work.

Third-party platforms you authorize us to access. When you connect your Google Business Profile, social media accounts, or other platforms to your paid plan, we transmit content (posts, photos, listing updates, etc.) to those platforms on your behalf. Each platform has its own privacy policy that governs what they do with the data they receive.

Legal authorities. We may disclose your information if required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to comply with applicable law or regulation; to respond to a valid request from a law enforcement agency; or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, harm, or injury to us, our users, or any third party.

Successor company. If our business is acquired, sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred to the successor company. We will notify you of any such transfer if it materially affects how your information is used.

What we do NOT do.

  • We do not share your information with third-party advertisers or ad networks.
  • We do not run third-party display, banner, or sponsored advertising on the Service.
  • We do not share, sell, or rent postal mailing lists with marketers, businesses, or any third party.
  • We do not allow third-party trackers (other than the analytics and operational service providers we use ourselves) to collect information from our Service.

6. AI AGENTS, SOFTWARE TOOLS & THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM ACCESS

The Service uses proprietary and licensed AI agents and software tools to deliver paid plan features — including Google Business Profile management, social media posting, citation building, content publishing, and the establishment of digital properties on approved platforms.

For Platinum, Diamond, and Authority Tier plans, when you authorize us to access your Google Business Profile via OAuth (or similar authorization protocols) and your social media accounts, our AI agents and software tools may:

  • Read your profile data, listings, posts, reviews, Q&A, performance metrics, and similar information.
  • Make changes to your profile (descriptions, services, hours, photos, posts) as needed to optimize your visibility.
  • Publish posts, articles, or other content on your behalf.
  • Respond to reviews, messages, and Q&A on your behalf, with your authorization.
  • Sync information across multiple directories and platforms to maintain consistency (citations, NAP).

The data accessed via these authorizations is used solely to deliver the services you’ve subscribed to. It is not used for any other purpose, not sold, not shared with third parties for their own use, and not retained beyond what’s necessary to deliver the Service.

The specific AI agents, software tools, and integrated platforms we use may change over time as we add capabilities, replace tools, or expand our offerings. By accepting this Privacy Policy and subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to use whatever combination of AI agents, software tools, and approved platform integrations we determine appropriate to deliver the services you’ve subscribed to.

You may revoke any third-party platform authorization at any time through that platform’s account settings. Revoking access during an active subscription may limit our ability to deliver the services you’ve subscribed to.

7. PAYMENT INFORMATION & STRIPE

For paid plans and one-time purchases, we use Stripe as our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card information on our servers. When you provide payment details, that information is collected and processed directly by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and their PCI-DSS-compliant security standards.

What we receive from Stripe and store in our system: a payment confirmation token, the last four digits of your card, the card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), and the billing address you provided. We use this information to process recurring subscription billing, generate receipts, resolve billing inquiries, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.

Stripe’s privacy practices are governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

8. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS & TRACKING

We send you several types of emails:

  • Transactional emails — account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts, support replies, and similar messages directly related to your account or transactions. You cannot opt out of transactional emails while you have an active account, because they’re essential to providing the Service.
  • Service-related emails — updates from our AI agents and team about work performed on your behalf (Google Business Profile changes, posts published, etc.) for paid plan members.
  • Marketing emails — newsletters, announcements about new features or services, special offers, and similar promotional content. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us.

Email tracking. For our outbound marketing emails, we may use email service providers that include tracking technology (such as web beacons or pixel tracking) to detect whether the email was opened, which links were clicked, and similar engagement metrics. We use this information to understand which messages are useful to our audience and to improve future emails. We do not use email tracking technology in transactional emails or service-related emails.

If you prefer not to be tracked in marketing emails, you can disable image loading in your email client (which prevents most tracking pixels from firing) or unsubscribe from marketing emails entirely.

9. COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

When you visit our website, we may place cookies on your device. Cookies are small text files that allow our site to recognize your browser and store certain information.

We use cookies for:

  • Essential functionality — signing you into your account, remembering your preferences, processing payments, and providing core site features.
  • Analytics — understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it.
  • Performance — loading the site faster on repeat visits.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can configure your browser to decline cookies or notify you when cookies are being sent. If you decline cookies, some features of the Service may not work properly — you may not be able to sign in, complete purchases, or use certain interactive features.

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral retargeting cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users.

10. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Service may contain links to third-party websites operated by other companies, including member profile links, social media platforms, payment processors, and external resources. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Service. Once you click a link to a third-party site, that site’s privacy practices govern. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit through links from the Service.

Embedded Google Maps. We embed Google Maps on member business profiles to display business location, allow visitors to find driving directions, and compare the proximity of competing businesses. The map is visible and functional whether you are logged in or browsing as an anonymous visitor. When the map loads, Google may collect information about you — including your IP address, device type, browser information, and approximate location — even if you don’t click or interact with the map. Google’s collection and use of this information is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service, available at policies.google.com/privacy. If you click to enlarge the map or use the directions feature, you may be taken off the Service entirely and onto Google’s own platforms (Google Maps), where Google’s privacy practices govern.

11. FREE ACCOUNTS AND PAID MEMBERSHIPS

Privacy is privacy — we treat all account types the same way. Whether you have a Free Account, a Gold, Platinum, or Diamond paid plan, or an Authority Tier subscription, the same Privacy Policy applies to your information.

The differences between account types relate to what information exists, not how it’s protected:

  • Free Accounts generate name, email, password, optional profile image, and the records of activity you create on the Service (messages sent, businesses bookmarked, content liked, comments posted).
  • Paid memberships additionally generate billing information (handled by Stripe), business profile content, and — for Platinum, Diamond, and Authority Tier — data accessed through OAuth and social media authorization for the platforms you connect.

All account types may move between levels (a Free Account holder might later upgrade to a paid plan; a paid member might cancel and end up as a free user with read-only access). When this happens, your existing data is preserved according to this Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.

12. PUBLIC CONTENT, REVIEWS & DISCUSSIONS

Some areas of the Service are public — including business profiles, blog articles, classifieds, products, services, coupons, events, jobs, photos, videos, properties, and discussions posted by members. Information you post in these public areas is visible to all visitors of the Service and may be indexed by Google, Bing, AI search engines, and other third-party systems that crawl publicly accessible pages.

Don’t post personal information you don’t want made public. Once content is public on the Service, we cannot guarantee its complete removal from third-party systems — even after you delete it from your account or terminate your membership. (See our Terms of Use, Section 25, for more on persistence in third-party systems.)

13. HOW YOU CAN ACCESS, CORRECT, OR DELETE YOUR INFORMATION

You have control over the information we hold about you.

Access and correction. Members can review and update most of their personal information directly through their account dashboard, including name, email, phone, business details, profile content, and similar information. To request access to all data we have about you, including data not visible in your dashboard, contact us at directory@stlouismissourinearme.com.

Closing your account. Members can close their own account at any time directly through their account dashboard. Closing your account terminates your active membership, ends recurring billing, and removes your business listing from public visibility on the Service.

Deleting your information. Closing your account is not the same as deleting your information. To request deletion of your personal information from our systems beyond what closing the account accomplishes, contact us at directory@stlouismissourinearme.com. We’ll respond to reasonable deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Important caveats:

  • Information you posted publicly to the Service or to third-party platforms (Google Business Profile, social media) may persist on those platforms after account deletion. Contact those platforms directly for removal of content from their systems.
  • We may retain certain information after account deletion as required by law (such as transaction and tax records) or as needed for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution).

14. YOUR CHOICES ABOUT COLLECTION AND USE

You have the following choices about how your information is collected and used:

  • Marketing emails — opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by contacting us. You will continue to receive transactional and service-related emails while your account is active, and may receive limited transactional emails for a reasonable period after account closure for legitimate business purposes (such as final billing, refund processing, or legal and tax records).
  • Cookies — configure your browser to decline cookies or notify you when cookies are sent. Note that some Service features may not work if you decline cookies.
  • Third-party platform access — revoke access at any time through the relevant platform’s account settings (Google Account, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Account deletion — request deletion at any time by contacting us.
  • Public content — remove content you posted to the Service through your account dashboard, or contact us if you need help.

15. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations (including tax, accounting, and audit requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After that period, we will delete or anonymize your information, except where retention is required by law.

For specific data types:

  • Account data — retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion (typically up to seven years for tax and audit purposes for paid members).
  • Billing and transaction records — retained for the period required by law (typically seven years for tax records).
  • Public content you posted — remains on the Service until you remove it or your account is deleted.
  • Marketing email engagement data — retained for up to two years from your last interaction.
  • Server logs and analytics data — retained for up to twelve months.

16. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These include encrypted password storage, secure (HTTPS) data transmission, restricted access controls, and use of reputable third-party service providers (such as Stripe for payment processing) that maintain industry-standard security certifications.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

17. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us should contact us at directory@stlouismissourinearme.com.

18. VISITING OUR WEBSITE FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

Our Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our servers are located and our central database is operated. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and to the processing of your information in the United States.

The data protection laws of the United States may differ from the laws of your country of residence. We have not specifically tailored the Service to comply with privacy regulations outside the United States (such as the EU’s GDPR, the UK’s Data Protection Act, or others). If you are located outside the United States, please consider whether the Service is appropriate for you before using it.

19. BUSINESS TRANSFERS

If we are acquired, merged, sold, reorganized, or otherwise transfer ownership of all or a portion of our business or assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity as part of that transaction. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you (by posting a notice on the Service or by email) before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

20. GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy and any disputes arising from it or from our handling of your personal information are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the application of Missouri and United States law to your relationship with us, regardless of your country of residence.

21. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Privacy Policy is found unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving the original intent.

22. NO RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES

This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as described in Section 23, and we are not required to honor obligations or representations made in earlier versions of this Privacy Policy.

23. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new “Updated” date at the top, and we may notify users by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy is posted means you accept the changes. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
